An interesting morning spent at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel for a colour seminar hosted by Pantone. So many colours, so many tones but the colour of the year for 2017 as chosen by Pantone is Greenery, “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew”.

FIFA Club World Cup – UAE 2017
We were excited by the recent announcement of yet another major sporting event coming to the UAE, with The FIFA Club World Cup set to be staged in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain later this year, and again in 2018. At the time of writing, there’s a good chance that we’ll be seeing Ronaldo and Real Madrid defending the title they won last year in Japan.
Needless to say, we were also pretty excited with being selected by FIFA to develop the above-the-line advertising, online and ambient material, and messaging strategy for the tournament too, and are extremely happy with the finished product.
Creative Masters golf day
Another great day out at the 2017 Dubai Creative Masters Golf Day. It’s always a great opportunity to catch up with our industry peers, and mercilessly thrash them over eighteen holes…
Asian Cup Identity
In 2019, the UAE will welcome the world to watch the AFC Asian Cup in Abu Dhabi. Fronting the competition will be a bold new identy inspired by 1,000 years of Islamic art and by the national colours of the UAE. The new identity, designed here at North55, was warmly received when it was recently unveiled to an audience of international sporting press and football industry figures.
A really wild shoot
A great day today on the photoshoot for Emaar’s newest attraction to be launched soon.

A nice bit of foiling
Bespoke box packaging for one of our clients PA Consulting. A good, quality paper stock offset with some lovely red foiling really makes these boxes stand out.
Mina Sultan Qaboos Waterfront
The launch event and identity reveal for Mina Sultan Qaboos Waterfront, a mixed use waterfront destination surrounding the historical area of Muttrah in Muscat, Oman.
Always refreshing to get off the computer and put our hand skills to use crafting an Arabic calligraphy identity. These are some of the early stages of the design process, working through the composition for the identity following the shape of the ‘masterplan landmass’ and also reading ‘Mutrah’, the home of the new development by Omran.
