AFC Asian Cup

OVERVIEW

Early in 2019, the UAE welcomed the world to the 17th edition of the AFC Asian Cup. Contested for the first time by 24 teams from across the continent, the competition reached a global audience, with more than 836 million viewers following the tournament on TV, and more than 500 million engagements on social media. 

We were proud to work with Abu Dhabi Sports and FIFA to develop the tournament logo and deliver a wide range of marketing materials to promote the tournament. 

The identity was designed to reflect the host nation's rich cultural history, and incorporates a palette drawn from the national flag and graphic elements inspired by Islamic art and traditional bedouin saf weaving.
